18th Annual Pig Roast
Games for all ages
Our annual pig roast takes on a whole new energy this year as part of the North Campus open house on Monday, September 1 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
The new Promise Road site will take on a festive flavor with two large tents, inflatable games, snow machine and music inviting us and our new neighbors in for an holiday afternoon of fun and fellowship. Shoups Catering, popular provided for many university and sports events across the state, will feed us tasty BBQ pork sandwiches complete with beans, slaw, chips – applesauce for kids.
Dinner will be served 4:30 to 6:30 pm so don’t be late. Games for all ages will be available from 4:00 to 7:00 pm next to the dinner tents. All reservations for dinner need to be in the church office by Tuesday, August 26. Dino the Dinosaur, Adrenalin Rush and a nine-hole golf course, all huge inflatable games, will welcome the young and old. Begin practicing now for a first – Geist Christain Corn Hole Tournament – who knows, we may become national champions in this event someday. Olympics here we come.
Kid’s games and activities from past years will return as well, along with a snow cone machine and other extras that make fall festivals so enjoyable.
Meal tickets are available after worship or the church office. Cost is $10 for all 11 years and older. Under 11 years pay $8. One games wrist band of $10 per person will cover all the games for the entire afternoon. Buy your game pass at the Pig Roast.
