FaithQuest Fall Theme
Just as we all join in launching our new campus on Promise Road, September 13 and 14, FaithQuest will launch a new unit during both worship services in the new facilities!
Our fall theme is “Great Moments of Faith.” The first unit focuses on “Elijah: Prophet of Faith.” The story of Elijah teaches children that when they act on trust and put their faith in God, present situations can become hopeful, and miracles – big and small – can happen. Faith comes from God. God has given us a beautiful place to build community with each other.
“As we grow as one church in two locations, FaithQuest also will be one education program for children at two locations,” Heather Burhenn, Director of Children’s Ministries, explained. This innovative way to do Christian Education features a variety of engaging workshop settings. Each week children will visit a new destination in their Faith Quest.
Junior FaithQuest for preschool children, ages 3-5, will experience creative, age appropriate curriculum. “Bible lessons will be both developmentally and spiritually appropriate for your child, as well as fun,” Burhenn said. “In the classroom your child interacts with Cuddles the puppet, hears wonderful stories from the Bible, sings and plays music, and participates in a craft, activity, or game.”

Geist Kids and JYF October launch
Geist Kids and JYF will begin in October. Plans for a fall kick off are in progress. Geist Kids is for children in kindergarten through grade two. JYF is for children in grades 3-5.
Parents , be sure to take a few minutes now to fill out the online survey asking you for your family’s interest in particular activities for these age groups. Also available is a downloaded print survey to fill it out and return to Heather Burhenn,

Children’s Ministries Meeting September 7
The next meeting of the Children’s Ministries committee will be held on Sunday September 7th at 11:45 at the South Campus. Come for lunch and learning. Heather share information about the fall FaithQuest theme and give an overview of the next unit. Some teacher training will be included.
