North Campus Offers Coffee House Environment
Bookstore and Global Gifts also available
With the opening of our north campus location also comes the launch of a Higher Grounds gourmet coffee shop and a small bookstore.
The main gathering area at the North Campus will include the cushioned chairs and café style tables typically found in retail coffee houses. There will also be ready access to an outside patio with tables and chairs. The atmosphere will include music and free wireless internet access.
Higher Grounds is known for its relaxed, customer and community oriented approach to business. Like its first location at 116th & Olio Road, Higher Grounds expects to offer live music on a regular basis at the North Campus. An outdoor amphitheater area will flank the adjacent patio to facilitate outdoor concerts when the weather is nice.
In case you want something more while sipping cappuccinos and surfing the net, the North Campus will also have a small bookstore next to the Higher Grounds counters. The bookstore will offer Christian books, CDs, DVDs, Jewelry, T-shirts, cards and other gifts. Our ministers and staff have been very involved in the selection of these book titles, and certain “favorite reads” of our ministers will be featured. Kevin Robbins, seen in photo at right setting up bookshelves, will be the manager of the bookstore.
The North Campus also features a retail display by Global Gifts, an Indianapolis based retailer specializing in fair trade products.
