Jesus’ final challenge to his first followers was to make disciples of all nations. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon them and this small group added three thousand new believers. The promises of Jesus were not just for them, they were also for their children and all who God will call them to serve.
With Connecting Promises, we are stepping into this Spirit-filled tradition. The Holy Spirit is shaping our congregation in ways that will benefit us, our children and a new community of people who God is calling us to serve. NEWS UPDATES
(Aug. 21) The congregation of Geist Christian Church, meeting in a specially called congregational meeting on August 20, unanimously approved moving forward with plans for a second campus at 126th & Promise Road in Fishers, including a financial plan for building a first unit.
Kathy Pellman, moderator, presented the history of the project followed by Steve Lucas, Building Committee Chairperson, presenting the plans for the building and grounds development. Ryan Hazen, Senior Associate Minister, presented the plan for financing the project followed by a time for questions. The motion to move forward sets in place a fall, 2007 groundbreaking with completion slated for the summer of 2008.
