Kyle Brown

Associate Pastor

Kyle Brown passionately embraces a gospel centered on contemplation, inclusivity, and mission-led activism. Although a devoted Kentucky fan by birth, he decided to take his talents to Lynchburg College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and secondary education. Continuing his journey, Kyle pursued studies at Lexington Theological Seminary, culminating in his ordination in 2005.

From 2005 to 2015, Kyle dedicated himself as the Associate Pastor at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church in Lexington, KY. His involvement spanned various church ministries, consistently focusing on fostering diverse and engaging youth programs. These initiatives aimed to facilitate the growth of both teenagers and youth workers in their relationships with God, themselves, and each other.

In 2015, Kyle and his wife Rev. Sarah Renfro, relocated to Indianapolis/Fishers to both serve at Geist Christian Church. Over the past eight years, his versatile contributions have ranged from Mission and Connections to Youth Ministry. In 2022, he assumed the role of Associate Pastor at the Mud Creek Campus.

Throughout his 18 years in ministry, Kyle has been a keynote speaker at numerous retreats and camps, organized community-wide worship experiences, and led over 40 mission trips for youth, college students, and adults. He is a Bethany Fellows alumnus and a recipient of a FLOURISH! grant. He also completed the Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising by the Lake Institute.

Sarah currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Client Relations with Pension Fund of the Christian Church, and together, they have 12-year-old daughter Miriam, who attends Fishers Junior High.
