Dayspring Center
This team prepares and serves dinner for families in the emergency and transitional housing facility at Dayspring Center.  The evening often includes an option to lead or help with a children's story or activity; this is a great ministry team for families with young  children.  80% of residents who complete the Dayspring program move directly into permanent housing.
* Additional Dayspring teams are in formation now! *
Date:  2nd Monday
Time:  5:15pm meal service

Food Pantry Support
The need – and commandment – to care for our neighbors never goes away.  In fact, across the country, food pantries and similar agencies have recently seen needs and requests increase by as much as 50%.

Collection bins are at all campus entrances, with shopping lists highlighting the items most requested by food pantries and clients (especially items that cannot be purchased with food stamps).  Drivers are needed to share in the delivery rotation.

altSouth Campus
For more than a decade, we have partnered with Centenary Christian Church (11th & Oxford), with weekly collections to stock the shelves of their food pantry. Click here to download and print a shopping list.

'Season of Giving' Holiday Families
GCC teams up with local mission partners in Marion and Hamilton Counties to provide holiday food baskets and gifts.  Easter includes baskets for children and teens, Thanksgiving includes work days at local food pantries, and Christmas includes a gift tree with tags for gift-buying and giving.  This ministry allows our members to make personal connections to those facing life challenges by donating food; serving on the planning team; sorting and preparing donations, maps and directions; purchasing and wrapping gift items, coordinating delivery; being a last-minute shopper; and more!
Dates:  Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas
