In the fall of 2004, my friends “Zehnder” came from Los Angeles to play a Saturday worship concert and a Sunday morning youth service. Under a tent on the lawn with 100+ youth singing along, ALTARed was born.

In September 2007, Zehnder was back for another concert and the Sunday worship in the field at 126^th & Promise Road. Just two months ago, our dedication service was a year to the date from that ceremonial groundbreaking.

Zehnder’s new release Going Up? is hot off the presses and is featured at the north campus bookstore. Track 15 is ‘On Promise Road,’ their gift to us last year, just for our service, and as the liner notes say, ‘inspired by where Geist Christian Church finds itself’.

Our ministries have been wonderfully woven — they take the same faithful pride in us that we take in their ministry. Enjoy the music … find it On Promise Road.
