Small Groups Launch this Month
New small groups are launching this week and throughout the fall as Geist continues to answer the call to connect to God and other people.
“As we move to being one church in two locations, our need has deepened to connect to one another and God so that we can continue to grow in faith,” said Cara Gilger, resident minister of spiritual formation. “This week Geist Christian celebrates in the launch of a new small groups ministry that aims at connecting people to one another for study, fellowship, care and prayer. We are asking that each group and its participants commit to six meetings this fall.”
Groups are forming around age and “life-space” such as couples groups, groups for empty nesters and retirees, groups for pre-school mothers, groups for singles, women’s groups and many others. In the weeks and months ahead we also will be forming groups around special interests such as a writer’s group, a runners group and a walking group.
If you are interested in finding out more about each of these groups, have an idea for a group or would like to join a group, fill out the online form, e-mail Cara Gilger, or call her, 317-842-3594.
