A dynamic, growing community of faith, Geist Christian Church held its first worship service on April 28, 1985 meeting in the clubhouse of the Eagle Nest subdivision in Northeast Indianapolis.
From that time to this, the vision that God put before the congregation has stretched and challenged the congregation to ever growing ministries. On Thanksgiving weekend, 1987 Geist Christian Church moved to the current Mud Creek campus location and in 2006, land was purchased for a North Campus in Fishers, Indiana. Randall Updegraff Spleth is the Senior Minister having served the congregation since its founding.
The congregation is committed to excellence in programming and facility with a passion for service and outreach. Worship styles vary according to service with uplifting music and preaching at all services. Because children are important, quality childcare and children’s programming are offered at every service. The ALTARed service for youth (grades 6-12) responds to their worship needs and taps their leadership potential.
The congregation is one of approximately 3,500 congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a mainline protestant denomination founded on the American frontier. In many areas, we combine our efforts with others in the denomination to witness Christ around the world.
