Youth Themes Selected for 2008-09
With the “youth season” starting up on September 7th, the elected Youth Council officers have selected a theme to guide us through another school year.
“Called Out”, based on 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, will be the theme for the year and will challenge each youth to discover their God-given talents and gifts and share them to carry out God’s purpose for the world.
This theme will be examined at Youth Group which is a weekly, Sunday evening experience for youth, grades 6-12 held from 5-7 pm staring in September. Each week, the group will gather for supper, large group fellowship, small group connections, and recreational experiences. All youth are being “Called Out” to get on board with an exciting year of youth ministry ahead.

Car Wash Success!
The annual youth car wash fundraiser was met with great success during worship on the weekend of August 16! The weather was beautiful and the people of Geist Christian Church were generous in their support of the effort. $1,841 was raised to support youth mission trips. “Many thanks to all of the youth, parents, and sponsors who worked the event and to all who offered their cars, and their gifts, to support this ministry,”
