The guys’ adventure takes place on August 8-9. The girls’ event is still in the planning stages but will take place prior to the school year’s start.

            This experience is designed to bridge the gap between middle school and high school. Our 2008 incoming freshmen will focus on the new challenges high school will bring and how to best deal with those challenges.

            In May, four high school seniors spoke to ALTARed about their church experiences and moving on towards graduation. Of those four, all spoke about how much Rites of Passage meant to them.

            “It was a truly moving moment to hear all four of them express the significance that the Rites of Passage meant to their spiritual and personal maturation,” Brooke Robbins, director of youth ministry, commented.
