Sunday, January 18

Mud Creek Campus

We continue Jesus' journey into ministry as he is named by John the Baptist as the Lamb of God. From the words of John’s mouth, Jesus' ministry begins to grow as people recognize & follow him. We are reminded of the powerful tool our voices are and invited through this story to reflect on where our words point people.

Promise Road Campus

At the turning of the calendar year, we are inundated with messages urging us to remake ourselves. But God’s promises are quite a bit weightier than our own. God’s promises are trustworthy and true. This week, we explore how we receive God’s promise of faithfulness.

Sunday's Grace

Sunday's Grace will begin the new year with a study entitled Better Ways to Read the Bible by Rev. Zach Lambert. Becoming disenfranchised with both the Bible and the megachurch where he was serving, Rev. Lambert left both. His journey back to the Bible, and ultimately back to church, came through reading the Bible from a different perspective, eight different lenses, and studying and questioning in community with others.

If you are interested in great conversation while delving into eight lenses of reading the Bible, we would love to have you join us. All are welcome. Books will be available for you at the Welcome Desk at Promise Road.

Page Turners: The Spoon Stealer

We will be discussing The Spoon Stealer, by Lesley Crewe. This novel brings you from England in WWI to the 1960s Nova Scotia. Emmeline was born into a basket of clean sheets but was never quite fit in on her family's Nova Scotian farm, so she fled across the Atlantic and built her wonderful life in England. Why is she a spoon stealer? What has that got to do with her life? And who she is? Join us to find out! Please call Elena Derbique at 317-823-0173 if you have any questions.
